16 DECEMBER 2011 EVENT INVITATION

You are cordially invited to a conference in commemoration of 16 days of activism against women and children abuse. The aim of the workshop is to learn and address issues that affect women and children especially in these times of economic challenges and lawlessness.
The 16days of activism against the abuse presents us with an ideal opportunity to highlight as well as seek sustainable solutions to fight against abuse of women and children. This workshop aims to bring together NGOs, government departments, activists and church leaders and scholars. It is our aim to ensure that after this workshop, solutions and declarations must be implemented at community level with members of these communities being owners of these programmes who will benefit from a research done on causes of domestic based violence in south Africa by Willy Maroyi (PhD. university of Kwazulu Natal) and a testimony from Annabelle an activist Mexican currently in South Africa. T
he event will take place from 10h00 to 03h00 at 10 Colwood building, 81 Russell Street, Durban. You are welcome to invite other members of the community since the fight is collective. Please find the attached provisional programme. Parking is reserved and Refreshment will be served
